P226 Grips...
Hey all,
I'm looking to buy a P226 Extreme but I'm not a fan of the G-Mascus style grips that come with the gun. Does any one know if I can install the regular one-piece grips (E-2 style I think) on this gun instead?

Re: P226 Grips...
If it's an E2 frame, then the E2 grips will fit.

Re: P226 Grips...
Thx, Scruff. How would I find out if it's definitely an E2 frame?

I bet you could call Sig with the serial number and they'd tell you.

Re: P226 Grips...
After 2011 build date, will except E2 grips,
Take the grips off and lookat the mainspring seat. If it is plactic (about 1 1/4")
it will take E2 grips.
If it has the metal mainspring seat you can still put on the E2 grips bu switching to the Plastic seat and shorter spring. (E2 seat and spring)
You might want to see if you can find A 226 with E2s on it first though to see if you like them. A lot of us have the E2 grips sitting in parts boxes because it is A love hate situation, A lot of people hate them. Espesially ifyou have big hands.
