ar15 pistol...transfer rules

so I am seeing some ads for ar 15 pistols for sale.

What are the rules for purchasing? same as any He says it is pistol not an sbr but as a buyer how do you know?

Has to be transfer by an FFL. SBR would have a stock, and different rules for transfer.

From what I know an AR Pistol is like any other handgun "pistol" on the market. It must be transfered via an FFL.

If its an SBR it will have a stock like a regular AR would. Like said previously different rules apply for this including getting an NFA tax stamp.

As the others have said, if it is an AR pistol it is no different (transfer wise) than any other handgun: Must be done at a FFL, buyer undergoes the PICS, 4473 and SP4-113 get filled out, seller fills out the sellers info section of the SP4-113.
