Thanks for the update, and for sticking with it.

    You earned it.

just an fyi you can call the state police and have them check for you ..... when I had an issue cleared up it was about a day or two and the system was updated. But you should call and verify as to avoid "confusion" on the part of the state police.

Thanks again everyone .. it does feel great lemme tell ya.
That would be the state side of things , I don’t think there is a way to check on fed side. I might just call them . Thanks for the suggestion

FYI, I found that the best way to check your status in the system is to run an actual FBI background check on yourself through an "FBI approved channelers". It costs about $50 and requires you to get fingerprints. If I recall correctly, it is supposed to take a few days to complete. However, both the checks that I ran on myself were completed before I even got home from the fingerprint place (which was a FedEx kinkos or something). The first one I did immediately after the pardon still showed the conviction. The one I did after the expungement process showed: "NO PRIOR ARREST DATA".

The expungement should automatically clear the FBI records. However, depending on who is working at the county clerk of courts where the paperwork is processed, it may or may not actually happen. If they just clear the PA record, you will still be denied due to the records kept at the FBI.

    Good Luck.
