Re: Pa Pardon
One to think about for a reason is this Criminal record is hindering your ability to find a high quality job, limiting your employment income and career opportunities.

Re: Pa Pardon
I am most likely the Pink Pistol you heard that got the pardon. The Governor at the time was Rendel. I had gone back to college a few years earlier and got a degree in Accounting. The record was holding me back. We did not even hint a word about guns.
The Pardon Board heard 25 cases that day and 16 of them were self represented. Of the self represented 3 rejected 2 held over. (one was a woman who lied in court to protect her boyfriend. She was sorry for doing it because she got caught. The Board tried to get her to say she was sorry because it against the law. It was like they wanted to pardon her but she was too dumb to see it.)
My lawyer was Philip Kline 519 Juniper Street, Quakertown, PA. 18951 215-538-4444
I don't know if that address and number is still valid.
The Board of Pardons is made up of the Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, a victim representative, a psychologist and a Corrections Expert.
They are not dummies by any means so don't try to pull anything with them. By the time you even get to them you will have been interviewed in your home by someone from the court. And they will try to provoke you to see how you react. (he knew I was a Witch and that I was Gay yet asked me if I have excepted Jesus as my personal lord and savior) I stayed calm and answered truthfully. They know you will be ready and will try to trip you up.
Remember, you are not there to retry the case so don't. You plead guilty or were found guilty. Now you want forgiveness.

Re: Pa Pardon
So here is an update. Yes it has taken this long. I started the process the beginning of January 2012 and man has it been a long road that finally ended on December 15th 2018. I did get my pardon with full support of the board (they didn’t even ask me any questions.) I just went in and told them the truth about everything and they were really nice about it. As soon as I received my certificate i went straight to the court house and started the expungement process. I received notice that i did in fact get approved for it also ,only difference was i did not use a Lawyer for it. Again it was being truthful that helped the cause i think . They were also very nice and helpful. I don’t know how long to wait for everything to clear up but just thought if anyone was curious i would give an update. I can not believe it took 7 1/2 years for my stupidity that happened 23 yrs ago.

Re: Pa Pardon
Thanks for the update and congratulations. I believe that they want you to own your error and show remorse at your hearing. So...let's get to shooting!

Re: Pa Pardon
There's that magical 7 years number again.
I seem to see a lot of legal matters taking 7 years to conclude. How can you have any cookies if you don't drink your milk?

Re: Pa Pardon
And Thank you. I can’t wait till I can go shooting. I just have to wait for all of the proper agencies to shred my past.
