Kahr CM9 Nosedive problems
So I picked up a Kahr cm9 yesterday. I picked it up used, but in brand new condition ( only one mag shot through it ). I took it straight to Trop's indoor range. Out of 50 rounds I had 3 rounds nose dive and jam. Seems this is a common problem with Kahr that i didnt know about. Does anyone have a CM9 that has or had this problem? If so how did you fix it. I know your not suppose to slingshot the slide , but this was happening on the 2nd or 3rd round. Its a shame because the gun is dead on accurate and fit and feel are great.
ps. Ive been all over Kahr talk reading about this , I just wanted a PAOFA members opinion.

No, mine has been 100% reliable with Hornady Critical Defense and various FMJ - PMC, WWB & whatever. I bought mine used, but it looked like it hadn't been shot much, and I probably have 500 rounds through it myself. I've got a lot of confidence in its accuracy & reliability as a carry gun.

Not really aware of this problem other than sometimes when the slide was released on a full mag. Try different ammo or a new mag?

Check to make sure the previous owner or factory didn't assemble the mag improperly.

Try another magazine. If the problem persists with different mags, call Kahr.

I'm pretty sure Kahr warranty is original owner only so be extra nice with them if you contact them.

with some flitz type polish and a dremel tool polish the inside of the mag and clean it well when you're done put it back together and try it again.

Re: Kahr CM9 Nosedive problems
My guess is that the mags were never thoroughly cleaned when they were new and the mag spring is hanging up on the packing goo.
I'd take the mags apart and run a tight fitting cloth through them with some Gun Scrubber or Brake Cleaner on it. I use an old sock and a screw driver to push it through a few times. Also wipe off the mag spring and the follower with the rag.
After I do that, I make one pass with a clean rag with a little Hoppes #9 on it and you should be GTG.

Re: Kahr CM9 Nosedive problems
From everything Ive read and watched videos about. The problem is the angle of the followers in the magazines. Some Kahr's are very fickle about it. Seems you need to sand the angle down a little on some of them. Im going to try it this weekend and see what happens.
