    Default CCW renewal problem

I got a speeding ticket. I pled not guilty, and the hearing was scheduled for six months later...

In the mean time, my CCW is expiring, so I out in to renew it.

I was declined by the Allegheny county sheriff because I am awaiting a hearing.

Is this correct? A hearing for a charge that would not disqualify me for a ccw will prevent me from getting a ccw?

I tried looking the info up, but wasn't finding anything.

Did he send you an actual letter stating the reason for the denial?
Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

Yes, and the letter stated it was because of the pending hearing.

Because what they did is illegal and I can sue for millions of dollars...

Or because only lawyers can give legal advice, and I should be asking them this question?

Because most people here are not lawyers providing opinion, and this is a legal matter that would be best directed to experts to avoid confusion and to save yourself time and agnoy

But the opinions of fools are free.

The opinions of lawyers usually come with a fee attached. Was hoping for someone to at least point me towards better info before I decide I want to start shelling out cash for a problem that resolves itself in a couple months.

shelling out cash asking a minor question to a lawyer is probably not going to the be the case around these parts...

now retaining a lawyer to fight a legal battle of your LTCF renewal is a different story, shoot gunlawyer a PM it wont cost you a dime
