Thank You!! Luckily, I tried something different and the keypad worked.

For others, who have the 'repeated' combo where 1 or 2 keys are only used.
For example the 6 key:
I started in bottom right of the 6 digit square with my finger tip/nail. I started moving towards the center until I heard the audible 'beep' for an entered number. I repeated for each digit. IT ACTUALLY OPENED. I don't think I had a feel of relief like that in a while.

Found a keypad/lock combo on EBAY, $100 shipped. Patiently waiting for it's arrival.

Has anyone gotten safe with a KABA brand keypad? Since I bought the first safe, a year or two later I bought the 14 gun. Just curious if anyone had an idea if this lock was good/bad.

Just a tip about these types of membrane keypads. They're normally in two parts, the top part that's the membrane with a conductive surface behind each key and the circuit board with the other half of the "switch". Many times they can get moisture behind them and cause them not to function properly. If you can take the keypad apart and separate the membrane from the circuit board, you can just gently wipe it with a dry paper towel and put it back together.

Haha, well guys, everyone that read this thread and said or thought, “this is exactly why I bought a safe with manual dial,” put this in your pipe and smoke it . . . the S&G 6741 manual dial lock that came on my Liberty safe failed in less than HALF the time that it took the Winchester's electronic lock to fail. And as opposed to the Winchester safe that was opened a number of times per day, the Liberty was typically only opened once per day. Wrap your head around that.

For a couple days I had a little difficulty getting the safe open, which was bizarre, as it always opened for me on the first try every time previously. After dealing with the Winchester failure I had a hunch what was coming, and I emptied everything out into my other safes and locked the Liberty with the door open. That ended up being a wise move, as this morning I tried to unlock it just for kicks and couldn’t get it unlocked after 20+ attempts. Today I’ll be on the phone to Liberty to discuss replacement options.

PS: After 3+ years my replacement parts on the Winchester safe are still working perfectly.

Hi BionicMan, I have the same safe and problem. Can you please help, I have grandkids that are in and out all the time and with the safe locked and opened I worry a lot even though they understand why it's opened they still like to look. I would be greatful life you could help. Thanks!

Put a S&G mechanical lock on it. As long as the door is open you can get to it.
