New Seecamp, got problems
I just picked up a new Seecamp 32 got it home opened it up read the manual then tried to take it down for cleaning and inspection...it won't come apart. Also the slide is incredibly gritty almost as if it was lined with sandpaper on the frame and slide. It's a new one made by Whalley Precision in MA if that makes a difference. Any help would be appriciated.

Re: New Seecamp, got problems
So, with leaving the magazine unloaded inside the firearm, you pull the slide back just enough to wedge an empty casing standing up to hold the slide open, which lines up the hole in the back of the slide that you take a punch to that lets the magazine spring push the slide up so you can remove it? That doesn't work?

Other then that I don't know. If you can't do what he does in that video it would seem like there's something wrong with the gun.... In that case take it back to the shop and let them know..-=pardon me while I burn and rise above the flames=-

Re: New Seecamp, got problems
Good luck. Given what you paid for it and their supposed swiss watch manufacturing processes, if it's like that out of the box you should seriously consider simply taking it back and insist on an exchange.
I watched that video. I regularly carry an NAA Guardian 32, had been told that it was very similar to the Seecamp, but this video confirmed just how similar they really are. But my Guardian has no mag safety and disassembly is easier. Loaded up with Buffalo Bore and at SD distances these little beasties should be quite effective, assuming one can hit what they're aiming at.
Again, good luck, I hope everything works out for you.-gonzo, SoCenPA. "Before all else, be armed." --Niccolo Machiavelli
