Re: Stock up on M855, it may be a memory
The quickest way to make people want/buy something , is to tell them they can't have it , or won't be able to get it.
M855 is being phased out anyway , in favor of M855A1. So it naturally means that if Federal/ATK/Lake City isn't cranking out vast quantities anymore , it won't be available in vast quantities anymore.
M193 55gr is actually more accurate in my rifles , and , as they found out over in Sandland , more effective on unarmored people than M855 , especially up close and out of shorter barrels. The 62gr bullet has a tendency to bore straight thru , while the 55gr M193 takes a much more indirect course thru a torso.

Re: Stock up on M855, it may be a memory
The funny thing is that it allowed me to place 900 in the shopping cart. I had entered 1000. You should have the the total for the cart, over $300k more than my house. A good question, What would you rather have 810k AP rounds or a place to live.
The quantity show now is 11. YouIANAL MPMO VIVA CUBA LIBRE

Re: Stock up on M855, it may be a memory
I like the m855, I picked up a few 1200 round cases of IMI a few years ago when it was 28cents a round. Very clean and accurate out of my 10.3" barrel.
This BS of the atf arbitrarily banning things they don't like needs to stop, I cant afford these panics.

Re: Stock up on M855, it may be a memory
I just picked up 420 rounds of 62 gr M855 from sportsmans guide for $176.00 shipped. Did the 4 pay option for orders over $150.00 which helps since I am pretty freaking broke.

Re: Stock up on M855, it may be a memory
The handgun part is BS, it's not a handgun rnd. Bushmaster and Olympic arms both made AR style pistols way back, as well as TC and some others.
These fucks should not have the power to ban something just because, who's to say what's next.

Brits call it SS109. Same stuff , but no green tips. Brits never adopted the M193 so there was no need to differentiate or mark it. They didn't issue any other 5.56 round.
Years ago , there was some Bosnian/Igman SS109 that had black tips. Good stuff. Was going for $100/1000rds in bulk.I don't speak English , I talk American!
