Just last month. Sitting in my family room and got an alert my garage door opened. Also realized my basement door was unlocked which leads to the garage. First time I ever had to do it but went down gun in hand and cleared it. No one however changed the code, locked the door and never again!

I once-upon-a-time heard a 155mm Howitzer go off outside my walkout basement. Could feel it and hear it.

    Bloody-hell! What was that?

About a cord of firewood, I had stacked neatly, all fell over at once. I'm better, now, at stacking firewood.

Spent a night at Camp Granite (Qui Nhon, South Vietnam). An M-42 Duster was parked outside the barracks. Middle of the night, the twin 40mm guns on it started blasting away. Most definitely woke me up.

Newly married, pregnant wife. Small apartment of three rooms. Living room then kitchen then our bedroom. I hear noises coming from the living room. Wife is sleeping. I get up and grab the 1911 and check things out. It's just the neighbors being loud getting home and the sound coming through.
I go back to the bedroom, bathed in moonlight. I picture the scene from my wife's perspective if she were to wake up: me standing next to the bed, gun in hand watching her sleep. I burst out laughing which wakes her up. She loved to tell that story

If she's anything like my wife, you needn't have worried. I could hop on the bed while playing a tuba and my wife MIGHT wake up.

I think we gotta have video of that. Please wear your pegleg pants though.

Putting pants on in the dark can sometimes prove difficult.

Don't know if this counts but I once had a dream that I ate a huge marshmallow and when I woke up my pillow was gone.
Don't laugh....for 2 weeks every time that I'd fart a handful of feathers would come out.
