It's almost Here SiG P220 10mm
I'm patiently waiting for the arrival. I've been following the progress over at Sig Forum. I always wanted the 1006 S&W but a Sig 10mm in a 220 platform. That's a no brainer. I've been shooting a Sig p220 since they were called Browning BDA. Gray Guns was the lead in the development of the 10mm p220.
In fact, the .40 S&W is actually just a “detuned”, shortened 10mm. The .40 S&W was developed when the original 10mm Auto proved a bit too snappy for FBI agents.

Never shot a 10mm but have shot a .40S&W & found it very snappy.
I never thought I'd say this but first impressions that SIG looks nice. I normally dislike their styling, but that has something that I can't put my finger on at the moment.

I only buy and stock 9mm and .45acp for my pistol calibers, BUT I would love to at least try the Sig p220 in 10mm.

Yep I got one of these on my order list along with the new G40. Looks like it could be a good year for guns.

$1400.
From what I understand they were having issues with the one they had at Media Day at SHOT Show. It was not holding open on the last round and some other feeding issues. Also, it looks rather snappy compared to other 10mm I've seen or shot. My 1076 doesn't have that much recoil with hot Buffalo Bore. Speaking of which, my 1076 holds 9+1, yet the P220 10mm only holds 8+1 which is the same as the 45 version. 10mm is smaller in diameter. They couldn't squeeze in another round?
I was looking forward to this, but now I'm not so sure. RIA has a double stack 10mm coming out this year that will probably be well under the price of the P220.

I'm waiting for P227.
