Re: Convert PA Non-Resident CCW to Resident?
I plan to just have my address updated in their database --- maybe tomorrow --- and not to get a replacement license. If I run into any issues while doing it, I'll let you all know.

Re: Convert PA Non-Resident CCW to Resident?
Dont hand them your existing license (you'll never see it again and be revoked then need to reapply again. If you're armed... how will you get home?)
Dont tell them it's lost (you'll be revoked and probably denied for another under the character clause. People that have parking tickets and people that lose things are a threat to society)

Re: Convert PA Non-Resident CCW to Resident?
I was in the same boat. I simply e-mailed the Sheriff who issued my LTCF and requested a new one be issued with my new (PA) address. I received it in the mail within a week. When I moved from the house I was renting into the house I bought, I again requested (via email) an updated LTCF and I again received it in the mail within a week. I didn't pay anything for the re-issues.
So now I have three: one with an out of state address, one with my previous PA address, and one with my current PA address - all of which expire 3+ years from now. I also have one from my home state, which under that state's law, is valid until it expires (even though I no longer live there).Last edited by free; February 22nd, 2015 at 02:04 AM.

Re: Convert PA Non-Resident CCW to Resident?
Exactly. There is no reason to approach Philadelphia, because they didn't issue your LTCF. It was issued by DelCo, DelCo is the issuing authority, so if you want to have the address updated, you notify DelCo.
That said, when it comes time to renew you will have to apply in Philadelphia. Non-residents can shop counties, but PA residents have to apply in their country of residence.
