I'll be there Sunday. This will be my first time going on a Sunday, is there any real difference going on the last day? I have read some suggest there are some deals to be had. Is this true?

Most use the argument the dealers want to get rid of stuff they don't want to haul home so they are more willing to cut deals on the last day of a show.

This may or may not be true, as I prefer to go on Saturdays and not potentially miss out on something that interests me.

When I'm set up at a show. I'll cut the same deal with a buyer on Sunday as I would on Saturday. The deal depends on the item and a few other factors. Either way, If it doesn't sell one weekend, Monday it goes back in the store. Then out again to the next show unless someone buys it at the shop.

That was my thought process also. This year my companions could only go on Sunday.

I was thinking more about guys who do not have shops. Also thought guns and ammo would be things most guys would stand firm on price. I was wondering more about the guys who sell accesories and only do a handfull of shows a year.

I have always had great luck with low-ball 'out the door cash' offers on guns in the last hour or two on Sundays, with vendors that do not have shops.

I had one guy chuckle at my offer, saying it worked out to $7 over his dealer-cost, but he took it. While waiting for the background check, we were chatting. He told me in the last hours of a show, he will take any cash offer that is at least $1 over his cost, on any gun he knows he can have a replacement for before the next show.

That made sense to me. If he can make even $1 today and have the same gun on display at the next opportunity he has to make a sale, why would he choose to pass up the $1 and keep the inventory in his trailer until the next show?

Looks like the Golf Show is at Oaks this weekend too. Anybody know if the Gun Show will me smaller than usual because of the other show going on?
