A strangely brief one-page report. Maybe she has something else on her mind right now.

Re: Attorney General Kathleen Kane Issues Firearm Reciprocity Report
Is it correct that as a PA resident... PA doesnt recognize any other states permit to CC? Carry in a car is ok though?
So confusing
The 20 reciprocal agreements with have only apply to non-PA residents with non-PA permits while in PA?
So basically... PA residents have zero reciprocal agreements with other states?

Re: Attorney General Kathleen Kane Issues Firearm Reciprocity Report
Car carry and CC is NOT OK for Pa residents within Pa unless they have an LTCF. The current case law [Com. v. McKown, 79 A. 3d 678 - Pa: Superior Court 2013] states:
In construing the Act to give effect to all of its provisions, we hold that a Pennsylvania resident who does not have a valid Pennsylvania license issued under the Pennsylvania Uniform Firearms Act may not carry a firearm in a vehicle or concealed on or about his person in Pennsylvania under the authority of a permit issued by another state that has reciprocity with Pennsylvania
(11) Any person while carrying a firearm in any vehicle,
which person possesses a valid and lawfully issued license
for that firearm which has been issued under the laws of the
United States or any other state.
With respect to Pa reciprocity agreements with other states, they only apply to non-Pa residents while within Pa. Pa residents are restricted to LTCFs as shown above.Last edited by tl_3237; April 15th, 2015 at 01:01 PM.
