Default An alcohol-fueled day of open carrying

    ...No, I was not drinking

I did do some open carrying to places I normally don't, two of which were the Beer and Pop distributor and the PLCB liquor store.

Bought five cases of Bud Light, which were on special ($13.99), to prepare for this weekends festivities. Lots of people in the store, a little gawking but nothing memorable.

I then went on to the liquor store. A torrential rainstorm hit en route, and I was bummed but decided to carry anyway. I got out the passenger side to avoid any rain hitting my firearm.

Shopped in the store, brought the few bottles to the front. A polite, younger woman checked me out and asked me if I was "off-duty", in which I replied "Nope." She smiled, rang me out and we exchanged pleasantries.

As I was getting into the car again (via passenger side), some kid watching the storm pointed at my firearm and said, "Looks like you're ready to have a good time tonight." Just smiled and nodded, on my way as usual.
Open Carry: it's whats for dinner.

It must be a generational thing, but from your title to the thread I thought you were talking about drag racing.

Soda over here usually means club soda. You know, the "pop" with no flavor.

HA HA POP! I love it, makes me feel homesick (from Akron originally)

Funny story about that, my first job was in an ice cream shop (I was 15) and a couple from NY came in and ordered two sodas. I brought them back two icre cream sodas and they just looked at me like I was an idiot. The guy said, we didn't want ice cream we wanted sodas. I looked him right in the eye and told him "And you got sodas" .... needless to say it took a few minutes to figure it out ... WEIRD East coasters, just plain weird

Well, at least up to this point in time, we Westerners have successfully defeated the incursions of that silly store name you have, WaWas. When I first heard about that I was like "WTF?" Then I had to come east and actually went into one!
It is you. You have all the weapons that you need. Now fight. --Sucker Punch
