    Default 300 yd. .380 shot

Impressive if true. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=74c_1422229609 I was kind of surprised how fast it hit.

How many rounds did they actually put down range? Even fools get lucky.

the round hit was awful fast for a 380. Not to mention id expect the holdover to be much more pronounced than what he is showing.

Pure luck. Yes you can hit a target that size at 300 yards with a .380, but you can't do it every time. Skill will get you close, but it's luck that makes the hit.

The sound of the bullet hitting doesn't match. It's two diff vids edited incorrectly, but the shot looks good to me. 15ft holdover doesn't look like much when coming out of a pistol because it is an extension of the arm.
BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

    From the bullet manufacturer:
    Muzzle Velocity with a 2.75" barrel : 900 fps

    Muzzle Velocity with a 3" barrel : 950 fps

    300 yds = 900feet.

Bullet travel time, 1 second per 900 or 950 feet.

I think there is some sort of weird echo the mic is picking up.
Using my rudimentary stopwatch, I'm coming up with about a second between firing and the twing sound.

It looks like a legitimate shot to me. It looks to be about 300 yards, and just as a wild guess, the ballistics sound about right to me as well. I don't think there's any problem with the sound either. The bullet is subsonic, so that means that the sound will get there faster than the bullet does. So on the downrange camera, you're hearing the sound from the shot getting there before the bullet does, then the bullet makes it to the steel. The second camera is picking up the sound, which is just barely traveling faster than the bullet, so it arrives at the camera just a fraction of a second before the bullet does. I think they did it. Just like others have said, it's not like they can do this every time and they never claimed that they could. Just a fun little novelty thing that can happen if you have a good shooter, a little luck, and lob enough rounds downrange.

Crowd reaction from a .380 shot hitting 300 yard target:

FLUKE! LUCKY SHOT! OBAMA WILL CUT TAXES BEFORE IT HAPPENS AGAIN!

Crowd reaction from a 9mm shot hitting 300 yard target:
