Default Has anyone ever shipped a firearm to Glock for service?

So I've been having an issue with my Glock 22 gen2 not extracting the fired brass, and after trying a couple fixes at home that didnt work it was suggested to me to send the gun to Glock for service/repair. Has anyone here ever done this before? Also what are the laws regarding shipping a firearm? Do I have to have Glock send it back to a dealer with an FFL or can they return it right back to me?

I have. It was a warranty issue, so they sent a shipping label. They sent it directly back to me.

I found both triggers to be terrible to me so the triggers are on a scale to me.. The Glock was a crisper suck and the XD was a more mushy suck. They are in the same family, SR9 (heavy suck), Glock (crisp heavy suck), XD( lighter mushy suck), M&P(heavy mushy suck).

I sent one back last week. Dropped off at FedEx and it will be shipped back to my home. If you call them and bitch, like I did, they will email you a call tag, which is a label free of charge. Otherwise you'll be responsible for covering the $25+ shipping fee for overnight/next day air.

I sent one back once. Fed Ex. I had to pay shipping and insurance myself. It was for night sites. They upgraded all the springs and some other stuff for free. Even the mag. They mailed it to my house. No FFL needed

Everyone already pretty much answered you question. If they for some reason dont decide to cover shipping costs, a new extractor is around $15 assuming that is the problem

The bitching is key, here. Make them pay for it.
