To answer your question, I have known several people who have been intimidated by this. The only person I know for certain who's behavior has been affected by concern is a friend we often head out with that won't bring a handgun because he is concerned about checking it.

You bet your ass people are intimidated, every level of state and federal government has said that we at this particular event should feel intimidated because we are the enemy and they are researching attendees.

    Well said.

Were people able to speak with those voting against gun rights or did we go through the motions with those already on our side?

We have had a what, rep. Gov. House and senate and how much got passed?

Could it be the four key players are not on board?

how does that star spangled song go...

"Land of the free and home of the brave" but are we?
when people are afraid of their own government, what is that called historically?

The people should not be afraid of their government. The government should be afraid of their people, then their is freedom

There are of course those who do not want us to speak. I suspect even now, orders are being shouted into telephones, and men with guns will soon be on their way. Why? Because while the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation, words will always retain their power. Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth. And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn't there? Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn't be? War, terror, disease. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense. Fear got the best of you, and in your panic you turned to the now high chancellor, Adam Sutler. He promised you order, he promised you peace, and all he demanded in return was your silent, obedient consent. V for Vendetta Quote

People are LAZY, do NOT want to get involved and will only talk the talk, but not walk the walk. I'd been trying since the date was first announced to get people from the Bucks, Leigh, etc. region to come out. I offered a free ride, I'd pick up gas, parking, etc.. I ended up driving out by myself.

IMO, it was embarrassing how few people attended, and I really wouldn't be surprised if this years event was the last. I wish I had an answer regarding how to get people involved. I've tried everything I can think of, but with very little success. I'm starting to lose hope in 'our' people.......

    Regards, Jim
I think the intimidation is subtle enough that some may not realize they are being influenced. I think a larger percentage of people would find it easier to use one of they many other excuses available instead of admitting fear. I was torn not because I was afraid of what could happen to me. I'm more afraid of unfairly making friends and family targets. Our complicated system of laws, no responsibility to educate the people on how to obey them, or even the existence of those laws, makes everyone a potential victim of discriminatory abuse.

I would rather combine it with transgender and freedom of religion rallies, so I could wear a burka.

I think there should be free Guy Fawkes masks given to everyone that shows up. I think organizers of the event should be required to wear Guy Fawkes masks in order to set the example for the participants. I think that the open carry of crew-served weapons should be encouraged. I would be glad to put on a mask, and hump a barrel and/or tripod of a M2HB around the Capitol Building. I would especially enjoy seeing the owner checking the beast at the enterance to the building.

At least one attendee on May 12 event was wearing a Guy Fawkes mask, which gave cause for the capitol police to give them a extra reason of security over watch of this individuals actions.

IF anyone wants to take over as the ORGANIZER of this event for next year let me know you can have it!
You can have all the rewards that goes along with the a dirty nasty foul four letter word - WORK

Got 10 years of more than just helping doing these events, All the long hours of preparation, all the planning, all the effort of trying to get teams together, doing lots of research, all the time spent coordinating with politicians and the capitol police to minimize problems for attendees, along with the joy of dealing with a bunch of over paid , un elected un accountable bureaucrats, its nothing but lots of thankless work, for NO coin for time spent and lost time away from family.

    For what?

Apparently most people really don't care to even to pay attention to what is going on in HBG, till it effects them personally, then its going to be to late.

asking someone to send a few emails or make a few phone calls as part of coordinated effort seems to even to much to ask, let alone take one day off a year to fight for your rights.

Just look at all the refugees from surrounding states that moved to PA over firearm rights lost in their home state, most come here and actually do what to help stop what happening again here. why come here?

when the next something happen again to question your firearms rights

Then there will all kinds of posting will be numerous opinion on how someone else (not them of course... just another key board commando) should be doing something to stop this or that law from being passed.

Everyone will be wanting someone else to come in riding the white horse to risk all to save them, to do all the nasty stuff which is more than they are personally willing to do for themselves and if the knight in shining armor don't want risk all, they get mad when they don't want to risk more than them.

The people in this state and county are so mired in this socialist entitlement mentally, that someone, for some reason, some how owes them, to do the dirty tasks they are unwilling to do for themselves. Is why every year you have less freedoms, than in years past , as they continually let those in power to pry their warm fingers from their rights.

there is another nasty four letter word that applies to most people, they are LAZY

the Republic is doomed, to do our indifference and apathy, we have no future living in freedom
