ok one final question on the topic i read on some random website that says you can spray a spray on bed liner onto your stock and get a tough synthetic looking stock for way cheaper anyone ever do it?

Mastiff4570,
I've been thinking about getting a stainless 45-70 Guide Gun and had the same questions as you. Hopefully somebody here has the answers...
I would like to add the ghost ring sights, scout mount for a scope, "cowboy loop" lever, and synthetic stocks and like just about everybody else in the world I can't afford a Wild West Guns Co-Pilot...

Re: Marlin guide gun stuff?
It took awhile, but I finally found the rifles in that pic.
I prefer the one on the left.
In both instances.

Love my guide gun, have a stainless steel with Kahles 1-4x scope, awesome. Anyone tried the Buffalo Bore rounds? Scary recoil! I believe it wasmore than a 470 Nitro with the 405 grainers....
In any case, to see some really tricked out guide guns go to :

I was in Alaska on a fishing trip and found this place - we were driving by. I spoke with the gunsmith and damn near purchased one of his copilot models... VERY VERY good ideas for the gun.Accuracy International AWM .300 WM (S&B 3-12x Mil), Remington 700DS Tactical (S&B 3-12x Bryant), Marlin 1895 GG (Kahles 1-4x), M1A Match, XM15E2S, SKB 12gau, Enfield no4 Irish Contract (1954), Springfield XD Sub Compact .40, Kimber Raptor II, Colt Series 70 NM, Springfield Long Slide .45, S&W Mod 10, Ruger Mk II Target, Browning Buckmark Varmint (Leup 2x), Beretta 96FSC, Walther P99, and many more...
