Re: Buck Hill Firearms
Purchased a S&W 1911 from Buds and Buck Hill Firearms did the transfer for $10.00. Purchased 2 striped lowers from Aim Surplus and Buck Hill transfers both for $15.00 or $7.50 each. Very friendly staff and this is the only gun shop I have been in where I was offered a cup of coffee or hot chocolate. About what the other guy said the price tags were face up. Isn't America great despite our President?

Re: Buck Hill Firearms
Has anyone walked into this shop and ordered a firearm that they didn't have in stock? I ordered a CZ527 through them back on April 23. They used Davidson's(Gallery of Guns) as the supplier. I check daily on Gallery of Guns at the stock level and it has been sitting at 19 rifles on hand since I ordered through the shop. Buck Hill keeps telling me that they are expecting it any day but to be honest, I think that is a load of horse shit. Gallery of Guns usually ships their firearms out nigh immediately and it is going on 4 weeks since I ordered the rifle. I am thinking that the owner is trying to pull the wool over my eyes.
Has anyone else gone through this before? If this was my shop, I would call Davidson's and start cracking some skulls, get a tracking number and figure out wtf is going on.

I have ordered a couple guns from him he didn't have in stock. Both came in later than expected one being a couple weeks later, though it wasn't his fault. That one was the fault of UPS and who ever he ordered the pistol from.

Re: Buck Hill Firearms
I have been to this store numerous times since it opened, have purchased a bunch of guns and even sold a couple on consignment. My opinion? This place is great! Rich (the owner) is a great guy, very friendly and knowledgeable. I have purchased from the store stock and special ordered at least 4 different guns through out the last year. Some ordered guns arrived amazingly fast (2 days) and one took about 4 weeks. The problem doesn't seem to be the shop but more on the sending end. Shipping delays for what ever reason just are not under the dealers control. I'm sure Rich is doing everything possible to resolve your order. After all he doesn't make anything if he doesn't complete the sale. I know it's hard when you order something and want it now but, have some patience and your new CZ will be in your hands before you know it.
Good luck with your new gun and maybe I'll see you at the range.

Re: Buck Hill Firearms
I didn't want it now, I just wanted it within a reasonable time frame, not months later. I just found it odd that I bought a firearm from a different FFL who ordered that firearm from the same supplier which shipped in two days time. Whatever, I will give them the benefit of the doubt.

Re: Buck Hill Firearms
I would give Davidson's a call and verify the rifle is in stock and ready to ship if they are then you will know if the shop is dicking you around or not.
