    Default Surefire X300U

So I'm interested in picking up a light for my one of my handguns. I have a holster I got in trade for it with this light attachment. Other than the lumen output is there any difference? I only have experience with streamlight in the past, I know about Surefire's reputation but how do these lights handle? how big are they? What do they weight? I was on their website but I don't want to know the actual weight as much as how they compare to others. Give me some feed back on this light...

I have an x300 and x300u. They're both great, the x300u might be a little too bright if anything. I can see targets almost out to 200 yards with it. The x300 will light up targets out to around 100, maybe a little farther.

Super lightweight, easy to manipulate the switch, and very durable. The x300 has countless rounds through it on various 45acp handguns and still works like new. Haven't used the x300u yet and don't intend to.

I've only used them on heavy 45's so far and don't really notice the weight when they're attached to 35-40 ounce guns. If it's for a compact lightweight gun such as a Glock 19 it may feel slightly muzzle heavy.

I like Surefires attachment method better with the quick detach lever. I had a TLR2 that would come loose every now and then. Hated worrying about it so i got rid of it and bought the x300. In fact that's the only thing keeping me from getting an x400. I'd like a light/laser combo again but don't like that thumbscrew mount.

Anyway, get it. They're worth it.

    I did a review a while back - http://forum.pafoa.org/general-2/245...-tlr-1-hl.html

That should answer some of your questions. I ended up getting rid of the Stream light.
