Lightbulb Revolution March: Washington D.C., July 12th 2008

    http://www.revolutionmarch.com/

    Event Schedule

Note: these activities are usually not put on by RevolutionMarch.com. They are initiatives by other activists or organizations we support.
Lobbying your congressional office—entire week before the march.
Many marchers are taking this opportunity to personally visit their congressional offices to spread the message. We encourage our marchers to visit Congress the day before the March, and use their new found skills that were learned at our workshops the week prior.

    » Print our Program

    » July 10th & 11th Flyering with Ernest Hancock.
Help spread the word about the march to DC residents and tourists with a pro! Noted guerilla activist Ernie Hancock shows you how it's done. Ernie is signing up his own volunteers for this action so this link takes you to another site.

    » July 11th Marshal Training.
Marshal and Medical Volunteer training with Oyate and Fred Smart. Registration required.

    » July 11th - HCR40 Booklet Distribution to Congressmen
    Host: Deborah Robinet
    Time: 10:00 AM
    Location: Steps of The Capitol

If you'd like to join us, we're meeting on the steps of the Capitol at 10:00 am on Friday the 11th. I have made 10 booklets to distribute to congressmen who have not cosponsored HCR40. Here is the resolution to stop the NAU and here are the congressmen/women who have already cosponsored it.

What I have done is copied off 10 NAU Timeline Reports and added the cosponsors to the end of it. I hole punched this and put it in a nice folder with a see-through cover. This report imo, is organized in a way that will get the attention of those congress people who need a full understanding of what is being done and how long it has been in the works. I encourage you to do the same.

» July 11th - Picket in front of The Federal Reserve
    Host: Deborah Robinet
    Time: 1:00 PM
    Location: Federal Reserve Building

We intend to picket in front of the Federal Reserve. The media will probably be interested in this action because the Fed is in the news a lot lately. I will be completely covered in monopoly money and holding a sign that says "Restore the Constitution".

    March Details

We have permits secured to begin the march on the North lawn of the Washington monument. THIS IS THE OFFICIAL GATHERING LOCATION FOR THE REVOLUTION MARCH!
Where:North East Lawn, Washington Monument, Washington, D.C.When:July 12th, 2008, 9:30AMRoute:Constitution Avenue. (see map)
We will be promoting this as a family event. We will be assembling to March at the Northeast Quadrant of the Washington Monument and marching down Constitution Ave. toward our rallying point at the West Side of Capitol Hill. A fun idea is to have people dressed colonial style, and also dressed as our Founding Fathers, to lead the march. We hope to have Dr. Paul lead us in the march. We intend to wave posters of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, along with various other related banners and signs. We plan to pass out pocket copies of the Constitution and to hopefully organize a picket in front of the Federal Reserve Building at the same time as the March.
    Schedule

    • 9:30 AM Assemble on the North Lawn of the Washington Monument
    • 10:30 AM Begin march down Constitution Avenue. Rally begins at 11:00 AM.
    Don't want to march?

If you cannot or don't feel like walking, head directly to the rally location at 11:00 AM.

    Rally Details

Of course not. The media wants a socialistic nation with people dependent on the government, and the government dependent on the United Nations.

The media doesn't want it. The people that pull the strings of the media want it... and they're pretty close to attaining it, as well as convincing people that they would prefer a more socialist government.

That's why we need to keep the internet unregulated and out of the government's hands. The internet is the only reliable means of obtaining information now. If you're interested in watching the rally,
here is a playlist of all of the speakers. Most speakers were great. Some of the speakers should have stayed home, but what can ya do...

Trust me, we should be glad the media didn't cover it. It would only have hurt the movement.

Ideally, media coverage on 10,000+ people peacefully marching/rallying at the Washington Capitol would not hurt. However, with the media's predilection to paint anything Ron Paul related badly... I agree.
