    Default Colt 2000

So my lgs had a Bianchi holster in the bargain bin for a while made for the Colt 2000. A nice leather, retention holster, so when offered to me for $2 - I figured why not.
So next step is an obvious one right - buy the gun that fits it !
So thanks to another member, I now own one of the worse "new guns" of the early 90's to ever hit the market with its questionable accuracy, sucky trigger, etc, etc.. I've read up on it quite a bit - a real flop - but if the price is right, I like the odd balls

If you're happy with it, that's all that matters!

Just a novelty. The gun overall doesn't seem too bad but the trigger - omg what a pc of crap! Not sure who designed it but I'm sure it was there first and last design!

The gun was the original brainchild of Eugene Stoner (of Stoner Rifle fame) and Reed Knight (of KAC fame).

Their original design was then given to Colt where they further worked on it without input from Stoner or Knight.

What was produced by Colt was a an embarrassment. Trigger pull was 12lbs or something to that effect, not the 6 lbs that the original design called for.

There is supposedly an original prototype at the KAC museum which I'm going to in February. I'm very curious about this gun and can't wait to hear Reed Knight's take on it.

I've read that these were either very nice pistols or really bad. Apparently, they both exist out there. Have you shot it yet and, if so, how did it do?

Minds sharing the buying price of the 2000??

Haven't shot it yet - maybe this weekend. $250. I see them on gb up to $600. Doubt any are selling for anything close to that, but thought $250 was a good deal.

OK so let me get this straight. Someone offered you a holster for $2, which lead to the purchase of a crap pistol for $250 that was designed by a stoner?
