    Default Micro 1911 Holsters?

    Hi guys.

Now that I'm a 1911 owner once again.

I have some interest in a Micro .380 1911 for ankle and pocket carry
to back up my DW .38 Super.

    I've owned a Micro DE, 2 LCPs, and a Glock 42.

How many of you own the Kimber Micro Carry and SIG .380s?

    Anyone use ankle carry?

I wonder if they are drop safe like the Glock 42 I currently carry?

I'd like to see pics of your Micro 1911s and how you carry them.

Neither of those is a 1911. They are both clones of the Colt Mustang. The Kimber will fit holsters made for the Mustang. Since SIG chose to make their version "look like a SIG," the slide is too blocky to fit Mustang holsters, so you'll be limited to holsters made specifically for the SIG, or generic holsters that will carry it but aren't molded to it.

I own a Colt Pony which is nearly identical to the Mustang except its double action only.

Ideally it's carried IWB, but I do have an ankle holster for it. Galco Ankle Glove - great holster and very comfortable for long hours of wear.

Top is my Llama IIIA. It is about as close to a mini 1911 as you can get IMO, especially the older ones. I don't really carry it although I have a Bianchi IWB holster for it. Bottom is a cobra derringer for size comparison.

This one will work for a Mustang. (I also had a Pony, that's what I bought it for.) Decent leather, and affordable. I don't recall if I bought the small or the medium size, though. I think I contacted the manufacturer to make the choice.
