    Default Trigger pull weight

What is your preferred trigger pull weight on your daily carry? Your opinion of the ideal?

Note, this may be different from the actual trigger weight you have. Also, if you hVe more than one daily carry, answer for your favorite or primary.

4-5 pounds if it's a single action. Light enough for an accurate shot but heavy enough to not worry about an accidental discharge. That's pretty much the standard for firearms in the field.

Range only firearms can go much lighter and be ok. DAO is gonna be heavy no matter what.

Weight by measure is not a good way to judge a trigger in my opinion. I would rather have a limited takeup, clean breaking trigger with little over travel that was 10 pounds than a mushy 5 pounds.
If one ever found themselves in a critical incident where they needed to fire a pistol, I don't think that you would be able to determine an appreciable difference between trigger pull weight anyway.
I remember reading a study about sympathetic reflex. (Your left hand will do what your right hand does under stress) Grips of well over 12 pounds were measured.

I only carry and own double action revolvers, DA/SA autos, or Single Action Revolvers.

For a double action pull, i like a smooth 10 lbs. pull. Ruger revolvers have a stack/catch just before it breaks, and I do like that feature as well.

I run about 3lbs on the single action I carry. That's about 1-2lbs heavier than most of my guns.

Most of my 1911's are 3 lb 7.2oz to 4 lbs 5.8 oz. My carry is 3lb 9.2 oz.

There ain't no "around" here,,,,,,, that's the tested and documented pulls.
