Default Ohio allows PA residents to CCW

Recent legislation signed by Ohio Gov Kasich will allow PA and other state residents with valid licenses to carry in Ohio.http://www.ammoland.com/2014/12/ohio...#axzz3NxFcbwcO

The law is in effect as of March 19 2015.

Now if we could get PA to reciprocate!

Oh, goody! Now there will be two bordering states (that I have to travel ~300 miles to get to) in order to legally CC there. The rest of them still carry a "PR" designation.

Now that that's off my chest... At least another state is headed in the right direction. A good thing for western PA residents, tho'. Thanks for the heads up.

Between Wolf and Kane, it's gonna be a tough couple of years (so far as Kane is concerned, unless she gets reelected) to get any pro 2A consideration from the AG's office. And, you can be fairly sure that Wolf will not sign any pro 2A bills passed by the houses.

Sweet! My wife is going to be pissed that I can carry in Ohio in a few weeks and didn't need to go through the Utah process, lol.

Cool! And thank you Ohio! This is probably the best course of action. Screw all this reciprocity shit that our AG can change willy nilly. This is the type of legislation Pa needs to pursue.

    Sweet!

That will make my monthly trips to OH more tolerable.

Even though I prefer to OC, which unlicensed OC is allowed in OH, the honoring of PA's LTCF will be extremely nice for the winter and vehicle transporting(presently have to unload and lock up the gun).

Wow awesome! Besides accepting all out of state licenses, there are some other REALLY good things in the bill as well.

Don't envision myself traveling to Ohio anytime, but this is good to know.

NOTE to everyone!!!!!!! Ohio is a must inform state when stopped by police!!!!!!!! And I think they still have a mag limit of 30 rounds? No CC'ing of the Glock 33 rounders

There is some debate about the effective date of 3/19/2015 over at OH CCW Forum.

It has been signed, but not docketed yet and the 90 clock starts when it is docketed, or at least some people have stated this.

Either way once the law is effective anyone with a PA LTCF can carry in OH.

With our AG though I think it we will be hard pressed to get any new reciprocity agreements. But one can hope.

It would be great to have PA gun owners send the governor a thank you email.
