Default anyone else cc a large pistol?

ok a little back story here. I'm almost 50 and have had my carry license since I was 21. I've mostly carried larger guns for some unknown reason ie colt trooper 4in 357, ruger p95 9mm, etc. I'v had a couple of smaller weapons but just didn't get the connect with them. It's not like I have big hands either lol. Anyone else just like to carry larger guns? oh and I carry everyday everywhere I can legally do so.

Frequently CC a Glock 17. I just like the way it shoots.

I found both triggers to be terrible to me so the triggers are on a scale to me.. The Glock was a crisper suck and the XD was a more mushy suck. They are in the same family, SR9 (heavy suck), Glock (crisp heavy suck), XD( lighter mushy suck), M&P(heavy mushy suck).

I wouldn't call it exactly large, but HK VP9 is my EDC. Love the way it handles and shoots. Sometimes I'll switch it out with my Sig P229 with TLR-1 HL; that to me would count as large, or bulky, whatever you prefer.

I just picked up a VP9. Very nice gun, can see why you like it.

I didn't like CC with the P95, too many sharp edges for me.
I very often carry a 92fs in a belt slide holster, inside my waistband, at 4:00, completely hidden under my shirt. No one has ever noticed.

Not large but larger moved up from a glock 27 to a glock 19. With all the crazy shit happening I felt that the 8 rounds in a mag plus the backup mag and one in the pipe wasn't nearly as comforting as 15 per mag and one in the pipe. I'll take the extra 14 rounds. Strangely I feel it's more comfortable

1911 or an XD are those big enough? I think it showed you live in Wellsboro. Perhaps I can buy you a coffee or something sometime. OK most of the time weather permitting I OC.

The exposed cocked hammer on the 1911 makes me nervous to wear it under a shirt. Does your holster have a retention strap that goes between the hammer and frame?

Eta, I know it may be irrational fear, but that doesn't make me like it any better. I've been looking for such a retention holster.

Full size frame but 4" bbl 1911 for my regular carry piece..
cocked and locked never really feared the hammer dropping, I think you just get to trusting your weapon and eventually become comfortable with the fact that it wont go off unexpectedly if you are careful.
When unholstering your sidearm it is customary to say: "Excuse me while i whip this out"
