Black powder pistols
A friend of mine recently inherited an A.Uberti 1851 Navy steel frame, black powder revolver with a seven and a half inch steel barrel. It's a thirty-six caliber model. I know they're sold online, do they have to be registered like standard hand guns? She wants to sell it. Thanks for information.

Re: Black powder pistols
Correct, in PA you can walk into any store and walk out with one without the FFL paperwork. I bought a Lyman Plains .50 black powder pistol on line a year or so ago and had it shipped right to my home. No problem.
They are a blast to shoot, literally. My Lyman is pretty accurate at 25 yards, even with the weight. I can at least hit the paper at 50 yards with it.
It is quite a conversation starter at the range.
