Well winter seems determined to hold on as long as it can so we are going to have to move our first scheduled match to our back-up date of 9/12. So our first match in the series will be a rifle/shotgun match on 3/29 (bring plenty of slugs).

We hate to make the change, but the range conditions and forecast simply would not allow us to run a safe and fun match.

Having not shot a shotgun match before, how many slugs is a lot? Considering I otherwise have little or no occasion to shoot or own any slugs, any amount is more than I usually have. So I gotta buy 25, 250, 1000? Sorry if it's a dumb question but I have no prior knowledge to go on.

I was at the club yesterday and it was terrible bad with ice. there would be no way they could've had a shoot of that size there safely.it will be awhile before the ice clears up.

    225 rounds rifle
    200 rounds of shot
    10 slugs
Remember this is estimate and hitting everything.

Holy crap! That seems like a lot of ammo for one match. A good example of "be careful what you wish for". These matches will put me in the poor house, haha.
You can never have enough horsepower or ammunition.

As stated on BEnos ... those counts should cover you for the match plus extra, it is not the actual round count for the match -- ie, there is no need to bring more than the above totals
