HOLSTER FOR SPRINGFIELD XD COMPACT 4" .45 ACP
I'm having trouble sorting out the proper holster for this pistol. There seems to be some ambiguity even on a few websites (DeSantis, El Paso Saddlery to name a few) regarding the XD line. The holster would be a gift so I am not in possession of the pistol. I do know the owner would prefer a leather OWB belt holster with a thumb break, if possible. Color is not an issue, nor is lining. I'm looking for any info that would steer me in the right direction.
Once again ---- Springfield XD Compact 4" .45 ACP
Thanks guys.

Re: HOLSTER FOR SPRINGFIELD XD COMPACT 4" .45 ACP
The 4" XD 45 is designated the XD 45 Service. The 3.8" 45 is designated the XD 45 Compact. In most cases they can use the same holster but not always. I personally don't carry OWB very often, and when I do its Kydex or a drop leg. Wish I could give you more assistance but wanted to make sure you weren't searching for the wrong model.

Wright Leather Works should have what your looking for.
Nevermind you wanted a thumb break & they don't provide that in their OWB options. However if you talk to them maybe they could add it to it.Last edited by PA1936MN; December 24th, 2014 at 08:24 AM.
