I knew someone in the national guard that said the rifles they carried had acog copies on them. he didn't know the brand, but said they were almost like cheating.

so, I bought an acog knock off....ummmm....no.

I'm saying that a lot of the knockoffs in usual places are well...not what you're looking for.

maybe a used one on a gunbroker?

that way, you have a better chance of it working right.

the nat guard member never could find out what make they are. (just called him). they are unmarked.

From what I gathered before buying y acog used was that the clones are for airsoft and will not handle recoil. If you do go the used route you can call Trijicon and give them the serial and they will tell you if it is real or not. That's what I did because I didn't want to drop that much money on a fake

not sure of your budget, but found this

    http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=458989937

there's 29 pages on g.b. that involve acog. not sure if you're looking for 5.5.6/223, or anything else, but, here's a start.

I've been eyeballing primary arms prism scopes. No experience with one but they seem durable and the ranging reticle looks awesome.

If you go that route post a review

Wont be for a while either way. I just finished building an AR pistol and am starting a carbine project. But i have to move slowly as to not send the wife into a panic.

I have absolutely no idea of what you speak

(they get kind of funny when a new package arrives on a daily basis...now don't they?)

I found a lot of listings for gently used acogs on g.b., as well as one on good old pafoa.

keep us posted on the next build!
