Bethel Park here. I haven't joined any clubs/ranges yet, but will be checking out Pitcairn shortly. It's a shame the range at Anthony's doesn't allow reloads.

Pittbug,
Bridgeville here. I may end up at Pitcarin also but am hedging due to the 45 min trip to get there.
I haven't checked out Coraopolis or Forest Grove yet which are considerably closer.
Forest Grove allows no steel shooting (bummer).

Google maps says 39 mins for me to Pitcairn. Anyone know anything about Carrick? (http://www.carricksportsmen.com/) This would be perfect for me as it's about 10 mins down the road.

Pittbug,
I also live in Bethel Park. I'm looking at Carrick and probably Library Sportsmans Assn too. Pitcairn is further than I'd care to drive.

Re: Any South Hills shooters?
Anyone familiar with the Library Sportsman's Assn.? I just moved to Finleyville from PA, and can hear the range in the daytime.. its not too far.
I'm looking to do some Pistol, trap and the occasional plinking. Wouldn't mind getting some rapid (but semi-auto) fire going with an AK though.
Anyone know of a good "public" plinking place around here? just bought a house and getting married in a few months.. so funds are tight and free time shooting means more ammo gets bought

Re: Any South Hills shooters?
Redhawk, I grew up on Rosegarden (Mom still there) and my uncle lives on High Oak. I now live in Brookline.
I need a place to shoot as well. I just got back in to guns after about 15 years. I was planning on going to GPGC before joining this forum and finding out it's closed. Any word at all on it's re-opening?

I haven't heard anything definitive but I doubt very much it will ever open again. There are too many people that don't want it to do so. I shoot at Coraoplis. McDonald and Dormont/Mt Lebanon are both good choices as well.
