    Cool Glock vs SW MP

So I have a glock 19c and also SW MP Shield. The glock has a tigher shot group than my Shield. Anyone have a thoughts on that? I visit the range regularly so that is what I noticed.
    Perhaps length of the barrel?

    Your thoughts???

Owning a Glock 19 2nd gen and the Shield 9mm at 15 yards the accuracy is the same ! dead center controlled shooting enviroment with both guns averaging 3 inch groups and less ! MDT

Ok, thats interesting. I shoot very good w/the 19c 3rd gen. The SW not as good.

Trigger action is different as the recoil.....I guess I get what I paid for eh?

Comparing a 19 and a shield isn't quite the same... like comparing Midget Cars to Sprints.

Many of our guys are getting away from Glocks to M&P 40/45 with the Apex Trigger kit.

    someone has to.

glock vs m&p threads are like glock vs 1911 threads.

they are always around, and usually end in a pissing contest.

Thanks for the info. I had a Colt 45 for 20 yrs. Until about 2 yrs ago I never owned 9mm handguns. I love my glock 19c. Dont get me wrong I am glad I bought the SW, but understand your point.

Thanks SteelCity!! Next time I come back to the motherland to see the steel curtain play lets get a beer my treat!! Happy holidays!!!

To me they are a flip of the coin... If you said "choose" it would boil down to which feels better in my hand.

I don't think it's fair to compare a midsize and a compact though in the area of accuracy.

Comparing most Compacts to Sub compacts is apples and oranges. I shoot my G19 just as well as a G17 but have a hard time with a G26 and it's not because of the G26 quality.

I also happen to own a Shield as an EDC. I own this weapon simply because it's one of the most shootable accurate smaller sub compacts there is on the market. It sounds like you need more trigger time and less pondering on the quality & accuracy of either weapon being the issue.

I can sum this thread up for all both of those pistols bone stock are considerably more accurate then you or I and 98% of this boards members will ever be.
