Re: Yea or nay ???
NAY!!!!
Unless you can get one for $100. You are taking away all the advantages of an auto cartridge by putting it in a revolver.

NAY
1. I'm not a revolver guy to begin with. I have one that my grandfather gave me and I don't expect to have anymore until I inherit my fathers collection.
2. I really don't see the point of trying to adapt semi-auto ammunition to revolvers. There is enough variation already between different loads of .38/.357/.44.
If if was the zombie apocalypse and that is what I found I would use it. That is about it.Last edited by QuackXP; December 15th, 2014 at 04:31 PM.

Re: Yea or nay ???
I like revolvers. however, a revolver in 45 acp is the answer to a question that no one asked.
in other words, why bother?

Re: Yea or nay ???
Nay
I had the .40 version for about a month before selling it at a loss.
It doesn't use moon clips, which is it's claim to fame. Problem is that extraction can take a while since the ejector sometimes slides around the rimless cartridge making it a PITA to get out.
Also a pretty wide gun.
If you want a good revolver I would suggest the Ruger LCR in .357.

Re: Yea or nay ???
nay. from the article as a carry gun you want a proven performer, the author said he had bad experiences 2.5 years ago and one member here was willing to take a loss on one.
if you want a backup gun then get a 5 shot S&W in .357 or .38 sp+P airweight, its a proven platform that takes speed loaders and speed strips.
before I carry any pistol it needs to run a few hundred flawless rounds with defense ammunition. If I need to tweak something to make it run the tests start from the beginning.Last edited by bigandy1966; December 12th, 2014 at 06:14 PM.

Re: Yea or nay ???
I say probably yea I have the 40, and as mentioned already, does not take moon clips. The good = does not need moon clips, the bad = difficult to load and unload, not going to get another 5 loaded quickly. Rounds have to be put in at a slight angle, so can't really use a speed loader - I have yet to eject and have all 5 come out. If speedy re-load is not a concern, I say yea!
