I agree that the RAMI is kinda thick for what it is. The old lady has one but unfortunately, she likes 'em thick too.

I guess not everything can have the sleek design of a hi-point.

That would mean the Glock is also a sleek design.

BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

Because thin grips feel like holding a popsicle stick to those with big hands.

You know what they say about big hands?

I meant guns, you pervs. But it's weird: the baby Glocks fell thicker than the full size ones do. I went to a local shop to pick up a few, and I liked the 17 the best. The 26 felt too thick for being so small. It's weird though how the XD manages to get more rounds in their guns than Glock, but feels slimmer. Our neighbor has an XDm, a full size 9mm, and it holds close to 20 rounds in it.
You see her sig line, then you believe she is talking about just the thick guns?

    Really?

Agreed it's overshadowed by the 1911 only because it was produced for France and other Euro Nations. If it had been adopted by America and replaced the 1911 as our service pistol it would be more popular today.

After shooting 300 rounds through my new Ruger LCP .380 pistol, I picked up my Ruger P85 9mm for some shooting, and I was thinking "WOW! I can actually hold onto this gun with no problems, and it has enough weight to be easily controllable!".

People sometimes make such a big deal out of an extra 0.1 inches of thickness, just like they will buy one cell phone over another because it is 0.5 mm thinner or 0.5 ounces lighter. Don't get hung up on the numbers.
