Does this M&P40 Barrel Look Wrong to you?
I don't seem to recall an M&P barrel ever looking like this. Suspicious?Last edited by StingyGunner; December 11th, 2014 at 06:50 PM.

Can you take a picture of the top of the slide? From your first picture I would
like to see the position of the trigger. Anyway, I do not see anything out of whack at this point. I checked mine and it did not look any different.FUNDAMENTALS

Re: Does this M&P40 Barrel Look Wrong to you?
This picture is actually from an auction I was thinking of bidding on. He has no picture of the top of the slide and everything else looks normal. I just have never seen that etching on the side of an M&P barrel. Looks like something that would be on an airsoft gun... Why haven't I seen it before? Looks real from this end:

That may be how Smith is labeling them now. It seems most companies change how they mark/engrave their firearms over time.

If you are questioning anything about an auction gun DONT BUY IT!!!
These are readily available anywhere guns so give some money to a local business and you can pick the one you want.
