Should I start worrying

I bought a CANIK pistol which is supposed to be a clone of the CZ 75B. I put 100 rounds through it and it would jam about every 10th round. I polished the feed ramp thinking that may be the problem, I did put another hundred rounds through it and it jammed 7 times. My question is fellas, does this mean more break in time and how many rounds do I tried before calling the factory telling them where to stick it. I do have a genuine CZ 75 and it jammed once when it was new, but never had the slightest hiccup since.

I think the number of jams you are experiencing are excessive even for a break in period. Maybe try different magazines or ammo. If you get the same results call manufacturer for instructions on what to do next.

Mine never jammed and I put hundreds of rounds through it.

You can worry, now. You've definitely got some kind of problem. Reloads or crap UMC ammo by any chance?

I currently have every canik and tristar canik available ,we work on these pistols extensively building semi and full blown customs from these pistols. Jamming is not an issue that we have run into with factory ammo. The usual cause is limp wristing the firearm . If I were examining your pistol I would first go to the range with my mixed 9 mm 30 cal ammo can -it has hollow points and various factory hard ball with 115 to 147 grain bullets. If I experience any jams then I would clear the pistol and look at 3 things 1, are the mag springs servicable, 2. is the feed ramp smooth, 3. clear pistol ,remove slide,re-insert the slide stop and seat, insert a mag with 5 rounds into the frame and make sure that the rounds do not contact the slide stop. If you can't come up with a cause for the stoppages I would be happy to take a look at your pistol and see if we can get you back on track . Personally I have put more than 25,000 rounds through my collection of caniks and tristars and to date I have only had one pistol fail, the front sight pin walked out on me at the range and the barrel bushing blew out and I was unable to find it. I called Century Arms because I bought that one through them ,they asked that I return the pistol for repair which I did and two weeks later they sent me a new replacement pistol instead of repairing it like I asked. On a side note I cerakote the caik and tristar barrels alot and still have not experinced any feed ramp issues after coating. If I had to guess your problem is ammo or limp wristing most likely. If I have a gun that does that I would get rid of it, I could never trust it for carry. I've had a few lemons over the years and now I'm much more selective on what I buy.
