CCW permit revoked in Philadelphia
A Freind had his ccw revoked in philly 2 years ago.
Someone broke into his car and he called the police. The police asked him if anything missing he told them wasn't sure if he left his scope in the car from the last time he went to the range.
He found the scope later and called them. He didn't know they already called the gun permit unit to revoke his CCW ( they said a gun part was stolen from him )
A year later he found out his CC permit was revoked, When he went to change his address .
He was busy working 80 hours a week and didn't have time to fallow up .
2 years later he has time now and wants his CCW Permit .
What steps should he take to get his permit back before he sue the city of Philadelphia for wrongly revoking his permit ?Last edited by ranger83; December 10th, 2014 at 04:58 PM.

Good luck! Philthy-delphia put out a flyer saying that if you had a firearm stolen from your vehicle, they would revoke your LTCF. Unfortunately, there is nothing in the law that backs their play.

Re: CCW permit revoked in Philadelphia
Well they assumed the rifle was attached too it per the OP's comments. I would have said for him to provide them with a list of his firearm serial numbers to prove they were not taken but that would have been effective at the time this was all going on. Is he still living in Philly or has he moved to a more friendly neighborhood that doesn't want to take away his 2a rights.

Yes, he will be asked on the application if he has ever had a permit revoked.
Tell him to NOT misstate that on the application!"...a REPUBLIC, if you can keep it."

Re: CCW permit revoked in Philadelphia
I see no question on the PA application that asks if the applicant has ever had a license/permit revoked. The only reference to another permit is if the applicant is an out-of-state resident - then you have to submit a photocopy of your permit from your home state, if you have one.
