Default Cheap Dan Wesson or higher priced CZ. Either way we win.

So for 2015 the CZ 1911A1 will be sold.
It will not be imported. I think its safe to say is a basic (GI spec) Dan Wesson. Very good news.

Selling it as a CZ is good too. Rather than offering a "Low End" DW they can sell it as a quality built Mil Spec.
    Watch out Springfield.

My phone won't paste right now. Maybe someone else can post the link/pic.

    Its on CZ USAs website.

Is this the one you mean?

    CZ 1911 A1

    Product Description

2015 brings the launch of the first pistol made in the USA that bears the CZ name. The CZ 1911 A1 is an homage to the past, a 5” government sized model built as a modern incarnation of the original 1911 A1. That original was adopted into US service in 1924, ‘improving’ on John Moses Browning’s original design. Our version makes several small ‘improvements’ as well, swapping the checkered plastic grips for checkered walnut, adding serrated slide stop, magazine catch and mainspring housing and using a stainless steel barrel. For the sake of the shooter, we elected to forgo the lanyard loop, and added a taller set of sights that are easier to use, with the front dovetailed in so that it can be swapped more easily. Though there are a number of changes, we feel the CZ 1911 is still true enough to the original service pistol to wear the A1 name.

Built with much tighter slide-to-barrel and slide-to-frame tolerances than vintage models, the result is much improved accuracy without compromising reliability. Built without a trigger safety, the trigger itself is aluminum, with pull specified at 5 lbs., give or take a pound. Its forged carbon steel frame and slide are finished in a black oxide and it ships with two 7-round magazines.

$849 suggested retail. That's a little stiff for a milspec, IMO. Curious to see what they'll actually go for.

RIA milspecs are going for around $420 to $450 and the Umarex Regent is going for less than that in some places. Both are already proven, so do your home work.

PT 1911 has some bells and whistles along with full checkering for under $600 in some places. This is still the value leader of 1911's, IMO, especially with the 30 lpi checkering. It's also fully forged in the slide and frame.

I paid $519 and $559 for the last two I purchased. You guys post these ridiculous prices for these guns I pay too much for and it makes me look at the neg rep button.

Being the CZ guy that I am, I can't wait to get one of these in my hand! I'm sure it will be built with the same excellent quality my 75,85, and 82 are.

The more quality 1911s there are on the market, the lower the prices will go across the board. I'm all for this.
