Don't get me started on gun/knife/jerky/pickle/helicopter/taser/rc car shows.
Haven't been to one in 5yrs and have no plans on ever returning to one either.
Nothing but overprice shit. Especially that miserable ass lady in the back that yells at everybody. I sure miss a good gun show. Those days are history.

I guess that was before my time. I don't mind the odd pickle or beef jerky vendor but the jewelry, gel pack crap, massages and all the rest needs to go and they need to stop letting those people in.

Like those ugly handbags Dale Evans wouldn't take to Branson!

For better or worse , the promoter (Eagle Arms) needs to sell tables to cover expo rental.

Yeah , there's lots of crap , but given time/work invested , table and hotel fees , someone must be buying that crap or it wouldn't pay those hucksters to set up.
    I don't speak English , I talk American!

I was a new vendor at that show, but only once and never again. It was my first and last time selling there . Nice big building but most of the people going are just killing a day there with no real plans to buy anything. Dont get me wrong, it would of been awesome if i had any sales and hotels werent $135 (cheapest) per night.

What may ask were you vending? I was set up there; and while the show was off a bit for October we still did very well. Almost every vendor with real firearms related merchandise does well at Oaks. The main reason most of us never miss it. The December show along with the March show is among the best of the year. As one of my friends stated: "If you can't sell anything here you need to adjust either your merchandise, your price or your attitude. Probably the latter."

As for the cost of hotels; I have three words for you. Priceline, Expedia, Orbits!
