Don't get me started on gun/knife/jerky/pickle/helicopter/taser/rc car shows.
Haven't been to one in 5yrs and have no plans on ever returning to one either.
Nothing but overprice shit. Especially that miserable ass lady in the back that yells at everybody. I sure miss a good gun show. Those days are history.

I guess that was before my time. I don't mind the odd pickle or beef jerky vendor but the jewelry, gel pack crap, massages and all the rest needs to go and they need to stop letting those people in.

I was a new vendor at that show, but only once and never again. It was my first and last time selling there . Nice big building but most of the people going are just killing a day there with no real plans to buy anything. Dont get me wrong, it would of been awesome if i had any sales and hotels werent $135 (cheapest) per night.

What may ask were you vending? I was set up there; and while the show was off a bit for October we still did very well. Almost every vendor with real firearms related merchandise does well at Oaks. The main reason most of us never miss it. The December show along with the March show is among the best of the year. As one of my friends stated: "If you can't sell anything here you need to adjust either your merchandise, your price or your attitude. Probably the latter."

As for the cost of hotels; I have three words for you. Priceline, Expedia, Orbits!

I agree with ScotsGuards. I heard most vendors did well at the last show.

This is my favorite show. I have stopped going to a variety of shows and have found I can find all the vendors I am looking for at Oaks. This is one stop shopping to me. i also have no issue with jerky, pickles or anything else people want to sell. I vote with where I spend money and normally that is with gun parts vendors mainly for me.

Well there you go. Maybe I'd buy Suomi mags but that's a maybe. Never heard anyone desperate for beat carcanos and arisakas. Ever. I hope you were kidding. Too far to drive for that mess. Trade it all to sarco and try again.
