New Glock

So today at the gun show I purchased a "blue label" Glock 22 Gen4. Something felt a wee bit "off" about it, so when I got it home I finally figured out what is was.

The slide is actually smooth on this Glock 22 Gen4, while the slides on my Glock 17 Gen3 and Glock 21 Gen4 are textured in the finish.

Any ideas why this is?

Glock changed finishes. I take it your Gen4 looks more gray?

I bought a Glock 30S a few months ago and got the new "gray" slide. I like the previous finish a lot better.

It looks like the same hue as my Glock 21 Gen4, just with a smooth finish instead of a textured finish.

I have gen 4s that are shiny with a little "texture" and ones that are a flat gray.

Grey (dark grey, actually) on my new Glocks. Hehehe....I like the sound of that...my NEW Glock. Haha.

As part of my cleaning process I wipe down all of my guns with a CLP. The more I shoot my Glock 30s, the more I clean it. I don't know if the finish is just growing on me, but I swear the more CLP I apply over time, the better I think the new finish looks.

At first it reminded me of a greyish chalkboard. Now the finish texture looks and feels better, but it still has the greyish color to it.
