December Practical Rifle Match at LRGC

Folks,

We will be hosting our December Practical Rifle Match on Saturday December 27th, 2014 at the Langhorne Rod and Gun Club, 251 Stoneyford Road Holland PA. Registration will take place at 0900hrs December 10th. Our matches typically sell out in less than one hour so please be prepared at 0900hrs if you want to shoot with us. We will be on the LONG RANGE this month.

*** Also as is our custom for the December Match, we will be allowing those with new optics or a new rifle to have a 15 minute sight-in period. So if you received a new optic or a new rifle for the holidays and want to use it for the match, this will give you the opportunity. Remember, this sight-in period is open to only those with new optics or new un-fired firearms. You will need to supply your own targets and all targets will be placed at the 100 yard berm. <no exceptions>

You will also need:

A magazine fed semi-automatic center fire rifle.
Eye and Ear protection
Four functional magazines (feel free to bring more if you'd like)
100 rounds of ammunition
A Chamber Flag
A sling for your rifle
Masking tape for your target
A sharpie marker
To be at the range signed in and ready to go by no later than 0830hrs
A case for your rifle.
Bring exact change and your signed waiver $5.00 for members and $10.00 for non-members.
A positive and safe attitude
Please insert your chamber flag prior to casing your rifle for transport to the match

Optional items :

Knee and Elbow pads
A shooting mat
Binoculars or Spotting scope


Things to think about:

We shoot in rain, sleet, snow, and heat. Please be sure to dress for conditions. You will shoot in standing, knelling and prone positions. That means you may get wet or dirty. Please wear appropriate foot gear. We strongly suggest a good boot. No open toe shoes are permitted.

Good Morning All,

Just a reminder that if you received a new optic or firearm that you plan on using for our December Match this Saturday, we will be allowing a 15 minute sight-in period prior to the match. You will need to bring your own target and extra ammo. If you have a spotting scope please bring that along as well. All sight in work will be done at the 100 yard berm.

Remember, this is only for those who received new firearms or optics.

Another great time at LRGC. Thank you to all the RSO's who helped out today and to everyone who pitched in to help set-up and clean up. Congratulations to Sam for placing first, Kevin for coming in second and Terry for coming in third.

January is our AK match and registration preference will be given to those with AK's. Have a happy and safe New Years!
