2014 firearm deer season discussion thread
Well since archery and early muzzleloader were good to me this year I won't be out the first week, and only limited the second week. I'm saving my last tag for flintlock, so good luck to all the other hunters out there. Enjoy, be safe and post your experiences.
GOOD LUCK!Last edited by God's Country; November 29th, 2014 at 02:29 PM.

I need 2 deer, 1 for me and 1 for the farmer who's land I hunt on. I've got 2 weeks to get it done. Good hunting to everyone.

Re: 2014 firearm deer season discussion thread
I used one of my 2B tags in archery. I have one more but also got 2 2A tags. I can eat about 3 deer in a year as me and the dogs are the only ones who eat it.
I may try making more ground meat jerky this year if i'm lucky enough to score 1 or 2 more. Dogs both became diabetic so red meat was supposed to be verboten but I haven't checked to see if venison falls into that same category.
I'm going to 2A on Sat and into the second week but have a couple good sized bucks in the back yard (2B).
Good luck to all. Be safe.Opinions are like anal apertures. They all stink but mine.

I've got all of my tags left and I'll be spending most of my time on public land throughout 1A. That being said, does anyone have any knowledge of the game lands in Lawrence County, #148? Took a drive out that way on Possum Hollow Rd. today to find a parking lot but didn't have time to walk around. Work has really hampered my free time this year.

I'll be out in 5C tomorrow.... I've been eating tag sandwiches so far this season. Unfortunately, I had a business trip to Az during the best part of the rut. (my dad and 2 of my buddies got deer out of my stand while I was away)
Good luck everyone!!!!When you are called a racist, it just means you won an argument with an Obama supporter.

I will get out after work for an evening hunt with the In-line in 5B. I am saving a tag for Flintlock also but that still means I can take two during the rifle season
