I'm not really into it. At that size you might as well go with a Glock 26 or similar. Making the grip and barrel longer defeats the purpose of a 5 shot, lightweight revolver.

Not every gun has to be practical. If they did, then all we would have are Glocks.

I want to see Ruger make an 8 round version in .22lr or .22 Magnum. Even better, ship it with two cylinders. One in .22lr and the other .22 mag.

It's a cool idea but at that size I'd go with a ruger sp101

Yeah, but it weighs 15.7 oz and the 3" barrel SP101 weighs 27 oz (almost 2x as much). Also the LCRX has adjustable sights. Don't get me wrong, my father has a SP101 which is a great revolver and built like a tank, but if I had to carry either model all day, I'd choose the LCRX.

The look of the rear sight bothers me. The open area under the sight seems like it may snag something, such as a covering garment. A shroud would be a simple fix.

In .38 or .357, I'd agree. I'm not a fan of lightweight revolvers shooting magnum calibers. In .22lr/mag, though, I'd take the LCRx over the current SP101.
