    Default Adams Co. Gunsmith needed

    Hey, folks,

I need a gunsmith who can install a Weaver rail on the topstrap of my GP100. Gander Mountain can do it, but I'd rather have a relationship with someone who can do some other stuff in the future. For example, I'll want to get new sights on a Springfield GI 1911 when it comes home.

    Anybody have any ideas, recommendations?

    Thanks-

I don't know of any, but if you find one, let me know. I was thinking of doing the same thing.

What does it bolt to? It looks like you have to drill and tap the top strap don't you?

Walt- look here- http://www.jackweigand.com/raswms.html -it is a drill and tap mount, and there ain't no way I'm taking a drill to my gun! I can't drill a decent hole in the back yard! But thanks just the same.

Yep my bad. I didn't know a revolver today that isn't drilled and taped from the factory.

    Sorry,
