Glock 21SF non matching serial numbers
Anybody else have a bastard glock? Today I picked up a used 21SF at Cabelas for a good price and didn't realize until I got home that the frame had a different serial number than the slide and barrel. Im guessing the guy that had it before me sent it in for the SF frame replacement. The slide and barrel are Austrian proof marked as well, which I think is pretty cool considering that means the gun was made to be sold outside the US.
I don't care that they don't match, its not like the things are hand fitted, but I might have tried to get them a little lower in price if I had noticed. Silly me."Glocks are 5 times as addictive as crack"

Re: Glock 21SF non matching serial numbers
I wouldn't worry about it, too much. It isn't a collector piece. Those are purpose built hand guns and I'm sure that's what you bought it for.
I have a PT 1911 that had the lower link cut too much and the slide didn't line up with the frame, but I bought the gun, anyway. Taurus replaced the barrel with a new one and it lines up, now. No big deal on the different barrel 'cause it isn't a collector piece, either.
If anything, keep a record of both SS#'s in case it ever got lost or stolen.Last edited by harold63; November 19th, 2014 at 10:32 PM. Reason: reworded
