    Not really.

Folding or collapsing a stock doesn't transform a firearm into an SBR.

The civilian (non NFA) version had an 18 inch barrel.

For the sake of 'worst case scenario, let's just assume rags are all you have (or your shirt/underwear).
BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

Technically, for the purpose of transport, NFA weapons are regulated as handguns.

True, but what is your choice if you had to rely on maybe nothing more than some dirty rags? It's along the same lines as the 'most durable pistol' thread, but without being able to do anything to it other than shake the sand/mud/snow off. If it breaks, you're SOL. That's the pistol I'm talking about.

If it has to be something I own I would be ok with my Ruger p89 but I would choose my S&W model 10 if revolvers are included.

If it was any handgun I would choose the Mateba that can shoot anything in the .38/.357/9mm families.
    Some people just plain suck.

Sorry. Just pistols, not that revolvers aren't a good choice. I just want to see what most people would really prefer in the worst conditions possible, pistol wise. Worst conditions being no parts available to replace anything broken, no extra mags available, no oil for lube, etc.

my gen 4 glock 19. gotta be over 2000 rounds now with 0 malfunctions. But more also in a SHHTF scenario in my opinion glock is the only way to go. Not just because of the reliability but because there are going to millions of them out there between police departments and private citizens laying around
