Default Thinking of buying a stripped lower for a winter project

Who's got what for advice? I have a week of vacation coming up and one of my planned stops in at King's to check into a can and/or a stripped lower. I keep envisioning a lightweight stainless build over the winter. I figure this way I'll have the time to accrue parts and $$$ and hopefully be done come Spring.

So...school me on lowers and my first potential build.

Check out Trops was $49 for Anderson. Nice lowers.

All the forged lowers are pretty much the same so pick a roll mark (engraving) that you like and build away. The same pretty much goes for lower parts kits although some will say some will have better triggers then others (I wouldn't know all mine have geisseles)

Brownells has bushmaster stripped lowers for $50 and they are very nice. I bought one for a pistol. I wasn't expecting much, but it pleasantly surprised me.
I just ordered an Odin Works 10.5" barrel today for it. It should be pretty sweet.

Yeah, if Colt made a lightweight stainless rifle that also didn't have a shitty grip and an equally shitty trigger, I'm sure that would suffice.

Forged lowers are almost all the same, with some minor variations in the level of finish I have seen. The Anderson's are a little lower on the finish scale and appropriately priced, but it is such a minor difference that it doesn't bother me and I even went as far as buying one of their blem's for my last build. Pick up a standard parts kit, follow the instructions on AR-15.com for assembly, and have fun putting it together. Make sure you lube the roll pins before driving them home (roll pin punches make life easy) and use a HEAVY tape to protect the left side when you go to hammer in the bolt catch roll pin.

I was looking at picking up a Bushmaster lower that AM suggested but then I got to thinking.....

A PSA stealth lower might be a real fun project within a project.

The laser engraver down the street can engrave anything to rollmark depth on the Stealth lower.

I was thinking about doing a Colt style rampant horse inside a Slayer style pentagram and having the logo spelled Cult. That would be pretty Tits huh? Then I was thinking the moth from the silence of the lambs.

Anyway OP good luck in your search, update us with the project.

    Any other suggestions?

    oh yeah and

I wonder if your engraver could do me this on a lower.
