    Default Allentown Hockey Arena CC?

Has anyone CC into the new hockey arena in Allentown? It's in center city Allentown and I would like to bring my EDC if I could. What do you think?

I'm going to answer my own question. They wand you before you go in. I ended up going down then up and then down again for 7 flights of stairs to put my LCP back in my car when I seen them wanding.

If you are talking about the PPL Center were the Phantoms play. They do have a no firearm policy, which also includes off-duty LEOs.

Here is a link to their rules, scroll down to Firearms..

Hmmm, I wonder who owns the arena? Site says global spectrum manages, but couldn't find ownership. Preemption?

Wikipedia says the city of Allentown owns it.

Even if Allentown owns it, the team - as a tenant - can make whatever rules they want.

For me it's very simple: if they don't want guns, they don't want my money.

What about non hockey events, etc? Does the tenant not have to comply with other laws like the ADA, can they serve alcohol to minors?

Me thinks the tenant should have to comply with all laws since it is a publicly owned building, built with taxpayer $$$$. My understanding is that global spectrum was a company hired to manage the arena, and not neccessarily a tenant.

By I agree with you, I'm not leaving my gun in the truck in downtown allentown. No gun, no money.
